Dr. Tivadar Feczkó completed his PhD from University of Veszprém in 2004. From 2005 he worked as an assistant professor and from 2008 as an associate professor at the Functional Nanoparticles Research Group jointly operated by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Research Centre for Natural Sciences, Institute of Materials and Environmental Chemistry and the University of Pannonia, Research Institute of Biomolecular and Chemical Engineering in Hungary. Since 2014 he has been the leader of the research group. His main research areas are the development of micro- and nanoparticles for controlled and targeted drug delivery, as well as the microencapsulation of phase change materials to use them for thermal energy storage in building and isolating elements. He was a Marie Curie postdoctoral researcher in 2009 in Maribor, Slovenia. He was awarded by János Bolyai Fellowship from 2014, then he investigated nanoparticulate drug delivery systems against cancer and for regeneration of brain after stroke, respectively, at the Goethe University Frankfurt in Germany as an experienced researcher with the support of Alexander von Humboldt Foundation between 2016 and 2017. At present he is the coordinator of two Economic Development and Innovation Operational Programme achieved with industrial partners, and supervisor in two basic research projects in Hungary. He has published >40 papers in peer reviewed journals, and has got more than 750 independent citations for all of his publications with an h-index 16. He is a co-inventor of a patent on energy storing microcapsules accepted in 2018.
